Employee Spotlight: Customer Representatives

A company that can’t connect properly to its customers is like a racecar trying to connect to the track without any tires. No matter how powerful the engine, no matter how aerodynamic the body, and no matter how skilled the driver; without the tires, it isn’t getting very far. At Trust, our customer representatives are our tires. While the rest of us work to get our engine running at its full capacity, the two ladies in our front offices tirelessly keep us connected to our customers and turn all of our production power into accurate and successful orders.

Who Are They?

Janell JohnsonJanell Johnson is our newest Customer Rep, although it’s not really fair to call her new anymore, based on how much she has mastered her position in the year she has occupied it. Janell was hired under suspicious circumstances, only a couple months after marrying Trust employee Ryan. Luckily, she turned out to be a pretty great employee and was quickly moved from production into the cushy office chair of a Customer Rep. In the past year she has bravely faced freezing office temperatures, vicious rubber band attacks, and ever increasing responsibility as she has taken over representing some of our biggest customers and watched her original customers flourish.

Tiffany SloatMuch of Janell’s success, and much of Trust’s success, must be traced back to the tireless work of one Tiffany Sloat. Tiffany was also hired suspiciously, as the owner and hiring party was her younger brother, Matt. Originally brought in to work quality control, she eventually took over and shaped our receiving department. After a year of that she migrated into the office as a Customer Representative. In the 3 years since, she has mastered her craft and taught Janell everything she knows. She also spent several months seamlessly handling two peoples’ worth of customers while simultaneously training Janell

Our Customer Representatives have several responsibilities that are vital to the success of Trust. First and foremost they are the face/voice of Trust. When customers call, email, live chat, walk in, or place an online order, they are greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable person who cares and is committed to their service and satisfaction. Once the customer is connected to a Rep, they become an ambassador of the customer’s need to the rest of the shop. It is the Rep’s job to ensure the customers’ wishes are communicated clearly and completely to everyone else who touches the order. The Rep is an expert on every order, keeping track of the blanks, the art, the mockups, production, and shipping (answering everyone’s annoying questions along the way).

Customer Reps

We love printing at Trust, and we love setting ourselves apart with excellence in every department, but our true secret weapons are our Customer Representatives. We are interested in so much more than printing, we want to be bright spots in our customers’ days and our Reps are the fuel in that fire. We firmly believe they are the best in the business, and we encourage you to give us a call, send an email, come see us, or live chat us on our website to experience it for yourself.

This is our first Employee Spotlight post, where we highlight a piece of our Trust family. In coming weeks we will be working our way through the shop, digging into the hard work and manpower that goes into keeping our company running beautifully.

Jesse is our Creative Director. He splits his time between the Art Department and Creative duties, looking to innovate and push the company in both areas (unless he overslept.)
