Navigating a Crazy Holiday Schedule

Here we are again! It’s the middle of November which means it’s time for wonderful food, beautiful winter weather, and time spent with friends and family. However, if you’re planning to stock up on garments for a holiday rush or if you need to place orders on a tight schedule, it’s important to remember it’s also the season of icy roads, national holidays, and shipping delays. Let’s go over a couple of possible issues for the next couple months and talk about how to avoid them.

1. Delays Upon Delays

Despite the short sleeves you may have worn to work today, Texas does eventually hit some rough weather at some point (you just never know when). Even if it’s bright and sunny in DFW, we might be receiving blank garments from California, or you may be located somewhere with a real winter. This can cause serious delays in shipping that are entirely out of our control. Even if the weather is perfect across the country, the closer we get to Christmas Day, the more swamped our shipping providers will be. You simply can’t count on your package arriving without a hitch on December 23.

SOLUTION: Plan ahead. Ship earlier than you would ever think is necessary.

2. Important Holidays

Trust believes firmly that our team needs a chance to rest and recharge. This is why Trust takes a substantial break in production at the end of every year. We think it’s important to allow our team a chance to spend time with friends and family, and we think it’s vital to maintaining the standard of work we have for the rest of the year. This break can cause issues for our customers, but we think if we work together and communicate, we can make it happen without a problem (we’ve done it 12 years running!). This year Trust will be closed Novemeber 24—25 and December 22January 1.

SOLUTION: Our standard turnaround is 10 business days, but sometimes that’s not possible around the holidays. If you can let us know as soon as possible what your deadlines are we will do everything in our power to meet them for you to make sure our break isn’t your headache.
