Schlitterbond

We like to think of ourselves as a family, but that picture isn’t complete without a family vacation. And so, Trust hit the road early this month and headed for a weekend in beautiful New Braunfels. The trip was officially dubbed “Schlitterbond” because we love silly puns. Our first day was spent at Schlitterbahn swimming, riding the rides, and enjoying the lazy river. That night we headed back to the house we had rented for some pizza, beers, and games in the very awesome party barn in the back yard. We slept in a bit after the late night and then headed to the Comal River for a full afternoon of tubing. We loved it so much when we got to the exit we rode back and floated down again. After another great night of pool, MarioKart, and shuffleboard, we headed back home refreshed and closer as a team.

This trip was especially fun because of how much and how quickly our team has grown. This was the first Trust trip for a huge portion of our group. Trust is a great place to work, but our culture is cultivated outside of the walls of the shop in the friendships and community we build as a team. It was awesome to see all of the new personalities and faces experience and add to the Trust family.

The Month of Joel

Joel Collins

He’s been around for a few weeks in a temporary capacity and he has certainly proven himself to be a great asset to our team, so we are very excited to announce Joel Collins has officially joined Trust full-time. Joel is not only the brother of Hannah—who joined us earlier this summer—he is also a diligent worker who has shown great flexibility, helping out and filling in for multiple departments. Joel will focus primarily on helping us in the screen department, keeping our screens clean and prepared for imaging. He will also serve as production’s sixth-man (or 12th man, if you’re an Aggie), the first person off of the bench to help us out in any department if the workload is excessive or if people are out.

Tracking Trust

Trust Stats

Trust has grown significantly every year of its existence so far. We have been very fortunate and have been blessed with awesome, motivated customers who grow with us and spread the word about what we do. Part of Trust’s growth also must be attributed to our intense focus on tracking and improving our performance. Ever since our production went paperless with the implementation of Central, we have been tracking everything we can think of throughout our processes. Since then we have been consistently updating and upgrading our stats, making them smarter, and finding better ways to share them with the team. This month we took a pretty awesome leap in the way we experience our Trust stats.

Trust Stats

We’ve dreamt of live, updating statistics on display in our shop for a while, and it is finally here. After some research into existing options to purchase, we did what we often do and decided to build it ourselves. A few weeks of hard work led us to two TVs (one in production and the other in the offices) displaying a constantly updating set of statistics, graphics, and reports for our day. We think it’s pretty beautiful, and I don’t think the power of statistics can be overstated. We love what we do, and we work very hard, but getting to see our yearly prints soar past 2015 or our daily sales fill its goal three times over builds and capitalizes on that excitement in a motivating, visual way.

Brewed — Love the Fort

2 Color HSA on Canvas 3413 – Athletic Grey

Our very official and very prestigious Print of the Month for September comes to us from our very good friends at Brewed. Brewed Gastropub is a fantastic restaurant with a large presence in Fort Worth. They are extremely active in the community through events, social media, and collaborations with other Fort Worth businesses. They love Fort Worth so much they had a huge mural painted on the side of their building which has become a favorite spot for photos. The mural has gotten so much positive attention, Brewed has decided to push the “Love the Fort Worth the Love” brand, starting with these awesome shirts utilizing a digital version of the mural.

The design, garment, and print work together beautifully for a sharp bold print with an incredible feel. The Canvas 3413 is a super-comfortable, awesome-fitting shirt. The simple, bold design allows us to use our HSA ink for a lightweight print with strong colors.

Jesse is our Creative Director. He splits his time between the Art Department and Creative duties, looking to innovate and push the company in both areas (unless he overslept.)
