New Business Cards

Moving to a new shop means a new address, so we took the opportunity to completely refresh our business cards. After a great conversation in a Tennessee hot tub, the idea for our new cards was born. We believe that Trust’s greatest asset is its people, and we wanted our cards to represent us as individual people who make up this great company. The design, done by Jesse Mackenzie, keeps a clean and friendly feel while adding more personalized aspects to each employee’s card. Each employee gets their social media information, a custom color, and a hand drawn portrait by Josh Hogan.

Trust Creative Showcase

Now that we are officially a part of the Fort Worth community, we wanted to start building a connection to the creative side of the city. We think our new space is incredible, and we want to offer it up to local creators. Our first event is coming up on March 6-7 and March 13-14. We are turning half of our warehouse into a gallery for 4 great Texas native artists. Prima group are an incredible group of artists with a DIY work ethic and amazing talent. Admission is free, and we will be printing custom shirts, talking art, hanging out, and enjoying some free beer from the great Panther Island Brewing. We would love to see you out here. If you have any ideas for future events, please email jesse@trustprintshop.com.

The Birth of 85 LPI

Our long lived halftone resolution of 55 LPI is soon to be replaced by 85 LPI. After rebuilding our halftone curves for 85 LPI, we will be able to achieve more detail, smoother gradients, and generally more subtle halftone dots. We can’t wait to show you the incredible difference in our new prints.

55 vs 85 Dots

See the difference with the same percentage and magnification.

We have a lot of testing and perfecting left to do, so it still may be a few weeks before we start using 85lpi on all of our jobs. Because we are upping our resolution, we now have to deal with much smaller dots. This opens up a lot of possible issues, such as the smallest dots closing up in the screen, or filling in on the print. The smallest dots are much smaller than the threads they are printing on. In fact, as you’ll see below, they are about the same width as a strand of hair.

85 vs Hair

Jesse is our Creative Director. He splits his time between the Art Department and Creative duties, looking to innovate and push the company in both areas (unless he overslept.)
