Family News

Family NewsThis has been an especially busy month for our Trust family. First of all, Tiffany and Jeremy’s daughter Haley has spent the summer interning with us and learning the ropes of the art department. She has already learned so much and has really helped Justin stay caught up on mockups and afforded him some great nap time (just kidding). Unfortunately, the burden of education has caught up with us, as she has headed back to school. We’ll miss you Haley!

Our second big family event was the hiring of Jonathan Stewart (not that one, or that one) into our quality control department. Jonathan comes to us with a lot of prior experience, including not one, but TWO masters in printmaking. He has been screen printing in different forms for 15 years and had his fine art printing featured in many exhibitions, so we are very excited for the unique perspective and expertise he brings to our team.

Thirdly but not lastly, our longest tenured printer Chris Gildea tied the knot this month. This has also turned our Trust family into even more of a real family, as Chris married Janell’s sister Kristin. We wish all the best to the new Gildeas.

A Welcomed Challenge

By chance, and sometimes by design, Trust Printshop has made a shift over the last couple years from a few massive jobs to many more consistent jobs. This makes our lives a lot easier, makes our schedule easier to manage, and helps us avoid the massive peaks and valleys that we used to experience. However, we still love the occasional huge order that comes through. It challenges us in every facet of our system, from our software to our reps to our print team, and it brings back great memories of the early days of Trust when every job felt massive. Valley Creek sent us just such an order this month, 10,000 prints for some awesome shirts that they gave away to their congregation the following Sunday.

Taylor Poston creates a quiet place for himself inside the boxes. “Robin is just so loud. He’s a lot to handle sometimes, ya know?” says Poston.

One Color Summer Update

You’ve most likely heard all about our very special One Color Summer promotion. If you haven’t, and you are too lazy to click on the link in the last sentence, basically we are giving 25% off all one color prints (excluding tags), through the end of September. Summer is the busiest time of year for Trust, and one color prints help us get everything printed and delivered on time. We love one colors because they never use a flash, they don’t get stepped on by other colors, and they don’t require registration which allows us to knock them out quickly and efficiently.

OCS - Ink on a ShirtThings have gone swimmingly through the first month of the promotion. We have printed over 10,000 one color prints for 37 customers already, including these great shirts:

Jesse is our Creative Director. He splits his time between the Art Department and Creative duties, looking to innovate and push the company in both areas (unless he overslept.)
