The ADDYs

Live Printing at the ADDYs

The end of February once again proved that Schaefer Advertising is a great friend to have (not that we needed any more evidence). We had the awesome opportunity to partner with them as they hosted the 2016 Battle of the Brands Awards Show. The Battle of the Brands was this year’s edition of the first tier of the American Advertising Awards. Winners are eligible to move on to District and National competition.

Schaefer blew out a sexy look and feel for the awards, including 4 great t-shirt designs. We were on-site live printing the 4 designs on 4 shirt color options. It was an incredible experience as Fort Worth’s greatest creative minds gathered together in one building for a night of laughter and celebration; and Trust was right in the middle of it. We printed and sold almost 100 shirts, made some great connections, and had a whole lot of fun. We are blessed to have such talented friends, and we are so thankful that they let us tag along and experience events as amazing as this.

Printwear Magazine is the foremost trade magazine for apparel decoration. That may not mean much to you, but for us it was a huge honor when they decided to feature Trust in the inaugural edition of their Shop Profile series. The article is very flattering and we are very excited to be included. Check it out here!

Creative Spaces

Creative Spaces: The How and Why at Trust Printshop

Creative Spaces is the brainchild of the Fort Worth Creative Cooperative, of which Trust (through Matt) is a member. It is an awesome group of the creative minds of Fort Worth that I could talk for pages about, but you’ll have to check out their website to learn more about the awesome things they do.

We are here to talk about the inaugural edition of Creative Spaces: The How and Why at Trust Printshop. This was an opportunity for people to come explore Trust Printshop and learn all about our facility and our process. Matt talked about the history of Trust, how we ended up in this building, and the great impact our move to Fort Worth has had on our business.

After a couple questions and answers Matt gave the full tour, walking from the front door to the presses explaining all of the stations in between. We talked through the process and at the end of the tour each person was able to (with assistance from the ever-helpful Daniel) use our presses to print a custom poster!

We are so thankful for everyone who showed up, crowding our tiny screen room with excited attention. It is a joy to show off something you are proud of, and we are so proud of our shop and our business.

Print of the Month

Print of the Month: Another Language by This Will Destroy You

This Will Destroy You — Another Language

Discharge 480C on Canvas 3001 – Navy

There’s something special about printing for friends, and also something special about printing for one of your favorite bands. Add in a beautiful design like this and the result is a fantastic print that we can all be excited about. This Will Destroy You is an instrumental rock band that everyone should listen to. It’s worth taking a break from this newsletter to put some on right now if you haven’t heard it before.

Print of the Month: Another Language by This Will Destroy You

Another Language is based off icons from the album of the same name released last year. The discharge 480C gives the print a fantastic subtle color with absolutely no hand. The design is beautifully simple and clear, showing off how subtlety can work very well on a t-shirt. We have printed several runs of this design, each time pulling a sample of the last run to ensure consistency from print to print. We store a huge number of samples in our shop organized by date so we can always have reference of the things we have printed.

Jesse is our Creative Director. He splits his time between the Art Department and Creative duties, looking to innovate and push the company in both areas (unless he overslept.)
