New Equipment

If you follow Trust on social media, you most likely saw the photos of our new press and dryer being unloaded and set up. What may not be immediately clear is the incredible milestone these new pieces of equipment mark in Trust’s history.

New Equip 1

Trust bought its second press over four years ago. That is a huge percentage of Trust’s history as a company, and the amount of change and growth we have experienced in that time is staggering. We have built and implemented a full-service database software, we have innovated just about every process we use day to day, we have built and shaped a lean, powerful team, and we have moved into a beautiful new shop built just for us. It is a testament to how efficient we have become that we have been able to manage the growth of the last four years without adding additional printing equipment.

New Equip 2

That is what makes the purchase of Press 3 and our new dryer so exciting. We will always have room to get faster and more efficient, but we feel that we have pushed the boundaries of two presses as far as they can go, and we are ready to start pushing that same speed and efficiency out to a third press and beyond.

Winter is Coming

Winter is Coming

November is over, and even if you live in Texas like us and you still haven’t put your short sleeves in storage, we have to admit that winter is upon us. This means a few things for Trust which could affect the timing of your orders if you don’t keep an eye out for them.

Here are a couple tips to help you breeze through this winter like a walk on the beach:

1. ORDER IN ADVANCE
Freezing temperatures may still seem far away, but looking through our old pictures we are reminded of the snow and ice which has ruined many of our best intentions in the past. Even if our shop is bright and sunny, bad weather across the country can cause UPS to get bogged down, and we would hate to see your order stuck on a truck somewhere with your event looming, so leave plenty of extra space in your schedule for shipping delays that are completely out of our control.

2. BE AWARE OF HOLIDAYS
As tv commercials and decorative Coke cans have probably reminded you, we are closing in on holiday season. Whenever you’re scheduling your orders, make sure you are skipping over Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Additionally, Trust has the awesome tradition of taking an extended Christmas break to recharge, spend time with our families, and start the new year completely renewed. This means our phones and our presses will be unplugged from December 23—January 5.

What Trust is Thankful For

We try our best to be constantly thankful for all of the opportunities we have as a company and appreciative to all of the people who make it possible. But the Thanksgiving holiday got us all sappy, so we thought we would officially and publicly list a few of the things (and people) we are thankful for this year.

Thanksgiving

We are thankful for our shop and for Fort Worth. We truly feel like we are home. This city and this space are a perfect fit for our people and for our company.

We are thankful for our customers. We literally wouldn’t exist without you. Thanks for counting on us to respect your precious art and thanks for telling your friends about us.

We are thankful for our friends! This overlaps with our customers in many cases, but even when it doesn’t, we love being able to go around the city and see friendly, familiar faces in shops and restaurants.

We are thankful for our team. Each and every employee of Trust is vital to our success. It is incredible to see almost 20 people with different ages, backgrounds, and personalities work together and play together with such love and respect.

And finally, we are thankful for our leader, Matt Lucas. If you’ve spent any time with Matt, you’ve seen the sparkle in his eye and his drive to better himself and the lives of people he encounters. Matt’s mindset permeates the walls of Trust, reminding us that we are a part of something great, assuring us that our company cares about us, and reminding us that each shirt we touch will belong to a real person so that we focus on producing the best possible product for that person.

Print of the Month

Brewed — Mission Statement

Waterbase Navy on Canvas 3001 – Heather Blue

This month we have great art producing a great print for our good friends at Brewed. This design was a lot of fun to produce. Joey came to us with an original ink drawing, which we scanned, cleaned up, and edited to create our art.

Brewed Shirt 2

Hand drawn art is always a favorite, and the subtle color combination adds to the friendly vibe and the positive message. This design was a no brainer for our waterbase ink. The print being darker than the shirt removed the worry of a base, and the super soft heathered Canvas blank was a perfect fit for our super soft waterbase ink.

Jesse is our Creative Director. He splits his time between the Art Department and Creative duties, looking to innovate and push the company in both areas (unless he overslept.)
